Carlos Caso-Rosendi

First things first. My work has been under attack since 23 June 2020. I am used to it, my defenses are up all the time and I have the best protection ever guarding my front door. It was June of 2010, about a decade ago that St. Michael made sure I knew of his protection with this phrase: “I am Michael, I am up front.” Let me tell you the anecdote, because it is pretty amazing.

On Tuesday of that week, I was supposed to drive my friend Michael to a breakfast meeting in Richmond, Virginia. I was going to drive to his home quite early in the morning and pick him up. I did not know that Michael’s wife had been awake all night. Michael called me up in the morning to make sure I would not make any noise that would wake her up. So, he decided to wait for me by the curbside and warn me by cell phone for good measure. He was leaving me a message when I turned the corner. As he got in the car, he told me: “I was just leaving you a voice message.” But my phone did not ring so we both forgot about it.

The following Sunday I was quite worried about certain events that had taken place during the week. It was about 6 p.m. when I decided to pray St. Michael’s Chaplet. I did and asked for St. Michael’s protection and guidance. When I finished my prayer and said “amen” my phone beeped with a sound that I have never heard before. I looked at it and there was a “truncated voice mail” waiting in cue. I heard it and it said: “This is Michael, I am up front.” It was the voice of my friend Michael, of course. The voicemail had been bouncing in cyberspace since Tuesday morning. It arrived exactly at the moment when I finished St. Michael’s chaplet. Whoa!  The words were quite apropos. I took it as a message from the Archangel that he was delivering the protection I asked for. Coincidence? Miracle? Both? You decide.

The important lesson here is: we are protected. In some cases we are very conspicuously protected. It is good to remember that in times like these.

What if we do not trust that we enjoy the divine protection? Then we are protecting ourselves, we are using our own limited powers and wisdom. God steps back a little. That is why we should be cautious but always trust in God’s protection and Divine Providence. It is imperative that we internalize that and convince ourselves to trust beyond any human thought. That will give us peace and put a fence of divine security around us. God wants to protect us but we must want Him to protect us and trust. Otherwise, we’re are on our own.

Although I have been meditating about it for a long time, only recently I have come to the conclusion that the Second Vatican Council was an instrument devised to facilitate and maximize the infiltration of the Catholic Church. Said infiltration had started long before 1958, when Pope John XXIII assumed his pontificate after the death of Pope Pius XII, of revered memory.

Decades before, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Blessed Mother had sent a message to the Pope of 1960. We do not know what that message said but I dare to surmise that it was about the corruption of the clergy at the top echelons of the hierarchy of the Church. Whatever it was, the message was ignored. The Council was called, and the rest –as they say– is history.

After the Council, profound changes were introduced in everything except the soliciting of alms (smile) and the Church entered into the most severe crisis of her long history. The great apostasy prophesied by the fathers of the Church and the Apostles of Christ, was at hand. The age of religio depopulata grew and the post-war world began careening into darkness because the light of the world, the last moral reference of the age was dimming. To use the words of C. S. Lewis to describe the death of his mother: “The great continent had sunk. It was all sea and islands now.”

Except for a few brave and faithful bishops and clergy, everyone caved in and the Modernist mob took over the ancient institutions of the Catholic Church. Some valiant men, like Archbishop Lefebvre, took refuge in the desert, away from the maddening wave of change after change to doctrine, praxis, liturgy, Canon Law, etc. etc. Those men were succinctly expelled  and the brawl continues to this day.

Now I understand. We are alone in the desert with Our Mother (see Revelation 12) and we should expect persecution until the bitter end. Our Liberation is near now that even people like me can see what is going on. It took me twenty years but I finally understood!

The funny part is that those who received me in the Church somehow knew that I was not “of them” — I repeat what I have been stating for years now: “I am not a homosexualist, a Communist, or a Mason” which is a long way to say that I am not a Modernist and I only follow the Apostolic teaching. It makes sense to me. The post-conciliar teachings do not make any sense to me, they never did but it took a long time to understood where I was standing. I am more sure than ever now.

Persecution was the great catalyst. It started almost immediately. Defamation, false accusations, shunning, attacks of all kind rendered me unemployable and poor but in a sort of continuous miracle, I was never completely abandoned by His grace.

The attacks are sometimes blunt, other times subtle. Family members, former friends, neighbors, priests, bishops etc. delight in trying to make me fall. However, Michael is up front, guarding this operation. This blog and the books I have published provide me with basic sustenance. Should those fail, God will provide. I have every reason to trust in His care.

Now mankind is about to experience what I have been living since 2008. The wicked spiritual forces let loose in the world are bent on taking as many souls as they can. They know their eternal destiny is Hell but they refuse to go there alone. Unfortunately, many fools are willingly following them. I do not have God’s schedule but I can guess the wicked won’t have to wait long to go and live for eternity in a place where all their demands are met: liberty to sin, equality in suffering, fraternity in eternal damnation.

As for us, who have decided to serve God until the end of this crazy age; we must learn to trust because that is the key to survival. Trust no matter what comes before you. Most of mankind will have to drink this bitter cup to the dregs but you are promised true freedom and eternal life if you only trust the One Who promised:

“But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.  And so you will bear testimony to me.  But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.  For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict. You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.  Everyone will hate you because of me.  But not a hair of your head will perish.  Stand firm, and you will win life.” (Luke 21: 12-19)

Michael is up front as the battle rages. Take courage!
